New Entry

I don’t really have anything to write about.  I am still in class for a few more days here.  Still up late into the morning because of night school.  I am mostly writing this entry to test out Microsoft’s New Live Writer.  I can now write the blogs from anywhere on my laptop and upload them later when I have time.  We shall see how it works.   New Pic:

Nightime and the Tent's Darkness

Well just thought I would jot some things down real quick while I have the time.  The gaps of time in between class are a real killer.  Not much to do except play around on this computer.  Today we gave our country briefs for class.  I was terrible.  My slides were excellent and I knew my note cards by heart, but as always I cannot get up in front of people.  My heart was pounding and I got really warm.  Before I knew it I was done, and then I sat down, wondering what all the fuss was about.  I didn't feel an ounce of nervousness until I got up there and turned around.  Oh well, someday I will be better at the whole getting up in front of people thing.  Reminds me when I played guitar in bands in high school, and I always had to face away from the crowd because otherwise I was too nervous to play.  Ahhh...i could have been famous I think.  Well anyways I am going to midnight chow.  Later.

BNCOC in Iraq

SO I am at Camp speicher right now.  I am here attending phase I of the ARMY's Basic Non Commissioned Officer Course.  Got to fly here in a blackhawk, which is always a bonus.  The course will be two weeks long, and teaches you about leadership principles and standards.  I hope to learn a lot.  Should be going to the promotion board again soon for Staff Sergeant.  Hoping to add that rocker!  Anyway, this deployment differs so much from my last.  I am much busier this time around and Iraq has definately changed for the better.  Things here are much better and safer in fact.  I don't have a whole lot of pictures to post yet, but I will try to take some and upload them soon.  I hope everyone back home is doing well and please check back, as I will be updating this blog more frequently again, as people have been asking me what is going on with it.

Desert Heat and the Countdown

Not too much to write.  Not even any pictures to take there really is not a whole lot here.  Kuwait is just heat and sand and we are not even near civilization really so it just us and tents and yet more sand.  Hopefully all the new posts will not be like this.

Day -?? Kuwait Torture Trials

Today we arrived in Kuwait.  It looks to be the same as what I remember it, although a few things have changed.  The chow hall for one is much better than what I remember.  It is noon as I write this and the power is out in the tent.  The temperature climbs rapidly during the day here; although the morning started out quite nice, by now it is very HOT!  Needless to say, no one can stand this place for long.  Kudos to the Kuwaitis for being able to live here, but I sure wouldn't want to.
